Terms and Conditions
When hiring goods and services from Beautiful Settings you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
Hire Period
Our standard hire period is for between one and four days. Longer periods may be arranged by mutual agreement. If items are retained for a longer period without prior agreement they will be charged at a rate of 1.5 times standard hire fee.
Delivery and Collection
For orders of £50 or more, a delivery and collection service is available free of charge within a ten mile radius of Farnham, Surrey. For smaller orders, and hire outside of this area, the fee will be agreed in advance.
Dates and times of delivery and collection to be confirmed by Beautiful Settings upon confirmation of the order.
In the event of a shortage or damage on delivery of the goods, please notify Beautiful Settings within 12 hours of delivery. Goods for collection must be re-packaged safely in the packaging they were supplied in.
Condition of Goods
The items supplied by Beautiful Settings will be, in our opinion, in good vintage condition i.e. with no chips or cracks. However, items may have wear commensurate with age such as slight loss of gilt and silver plating.
Please take care when stacking, handling, or packaging our china as it is more prone to damage than commercial crockery. All items remain the property of Beautiful Settings during the hire period.
Payment
On confirmation of the order a 20% deposit is required, which is non-refundable.
The balance of the fee is payable no later than 14 days prior to the date of hire.
Washing Up
All items will be clean and ready for use upon delivery. A washing up service will be provided at an additional charge of 15% of the total hire fee. If this is required please wipe cups, saucers, and plates, and empty sugar bowls, teapots, and milk jugs before packaging.
The items supplied by Beautiful Settings must be hand washed as they are not suitable for dishwashers. If items are returned unwashed without prior agreement an additional charge of 15% of the hire fee will be levied.
Damage Deposit
A separate refundable damage deposit of £75 is payable no later than 7 days prior to the date of hire.
Damage will be charged at the following rate:

All other items at our discretion.
Responsibility
During the period of hire, any losses or breakages are the responsibility of the hirer. On return of the goods, Beautiful Settings will notify the hirer within 48 hours of any losses or damage and advise charges.
Beautiful Settings will take no responsibility in the event of any injury to any party through breakage of goods or any other accident during the hire period.
